CUTS International is seeking to recruit a suitable person as Director for CUTS Centre for Competition, Investment and Economic Regulation (CUTS-CCIER) at Jaipur, Rajasthan, India. The vacancy is at a senior managerial level and would call for, besides honesty and integrity, proven ability to handle related functions independently. The candidate should be a postgraduate in economics and/or law from an institute of good repute with a minimum of 15 years of relevant experience. S/he should be 40-45 years of age. Candidates having worked in the area of competition and/or economic regulation will be preferred. Previous experience of working with a reputed institution in the related field would be an added advantage. The other essential requisite is proficiency in both written and spoken English, as the position would require dealing with international organisations. Key responsibilities would include:

• Taking charge of the Centre independently

• Conceptualising and monitoring the projects (ongoing and in the pipeline)

• Project-related planning, fund raising, follow up with funding agencies, submission of project reports

Indeed, the person will need to be a self-starter and willing to put in long hours, as well as be able to travel in India and abroad.
