-
CUTS-GRC will
bring in a credible Southern voice to Geneva by continuing
to work with national level organizations including NGOs and
government officials in developing countries with whom it
has established a robust working relationship in the past
few years.
-
CUTS-GRC will
involve in its activities developing country officials
including Ambassadors as well as officials of international
intergovernmental organizations stationed in Geneva and
other parts of Europe who are crucial components of the
policy input going into international trade and development
policy making exercises to ensure that topical and relevant
issues are taken up for policy research, advocacy and
networking in a timely manner.
-
CUTS-GRC will
plan and execute advocacy exercises that aid developing
countries in making their presence felt and their viewpoints
considered in the ongoing work relating to the Doha
Development Agenda and UNCTAD XII and beyond based on the
demands of developing countries and an intelligent
considered selection of issues and concerns.
-
CUTS-GRC will
be in a position to work on issues of direct relevance to
domestic policy makers of developing countries because of
its long association with the stakeholder community in
developing countries and its ability to bring up the needs
of developing countries to the funding agencies active in
international trade and development.
-
CUTS-GRC will
have a vigorous plan to monitor performance of actual
against expectations through regular meetings and
brainstorming sessions with the clients, stakeholders,
funding agencies and intergovernmental agencies active in
Geneva.
-
CUTS-GRC will
aim at long term impact of its activities and assistance to
developing countries in Geneva so that its focus remains on
outcomes and not just outputs.
-
CUTS-GRC will
continue its efforts to improve the effectiveness of
developing countries in multilateral bodies in Geneva, and
towards that end, keep improving upon its strategies with
the experience gathered through its work.
