Consumer Unity & Trust Society (CUTS), a
research, advocacy and networking group, is
seeking to recruit a Programme Coordinator for
its Centre for Consumer Action, Research &
Training (CART) at Jaipur, Rajasthan, India. The
vacancy is at a middle managerial level and
would call for, besides honesty and integrity,
proven ability to handle related functions
independently.
The
candidate should be a Postgraduate in any
discipline from an institute of good repute.
S/he should be around 30 - 40 years of age with
a minimum experience of at least 5-6 years.
Previous experience of working with an NGO is a
must. Experience in one of the programmatic
areas of the Centre, such as consumer
protection, good governance etc. would be an
added advantage
Key
responsibilities would include:

Project-related
planning and implementation
-
Fund raising
-
Networking with
partners, funders etc.

Preparation and
submission of reports
-
Organising, managing & conducting research
(desk and extensive field research)

Monitoring visits
-
Any other
reasonable job entrusted
The
other essential requisite is proficiency in
English and in Hindi with excellent
communication skills. The job involves local
travel as well as travel within India. Since the
job requires mobility, two-wheeler or a four
wheeler is must with valid driving licence.
Indeed, the person will need to be a
self-starter and willing to put in long hours.
Compensation
Compensation will not be a limiting factor for
the right person. More importantly the work
offers huge amount of job satisfaction, as it
aims at bringing about social change.
