National
Trade Network (NTN)
CUTS-ARC
is a founding member of the National Trade Network of Zambia. The NTN was
formed at a national workshop on “WTO-Issues and Challenges for Zambia” organised
by the Zambian Association for Research and Development (ZARD), held on 24-25
September 2001 at Lusaka.
The
main objective of the NTN is to sensitise the national stakeholders on various
trade issues especially on matters pertaining to the World Trade Organisation
(WTO) negotiations.

NTN
began its activities by disseminating information on WTO issues with the objective
of reaching out to the various stakeholders before the Doha Ministerial Conference
of the WTO. It is also planning to spell out the way forward for the new
umbrella civil society organisation to sensiting government officials and
civil society on trade issues.
